"Unfortunately this chain of hotels is a franchise. Each hotel is run by individual owners, therefore there is little consistency that you would find with a lragw chain that must meet consistent high standards. Value would have been great considering the location of this hotel. I saw the "red flag" of a rating of 4 in cleanliness out of 10 before I booked it, but figures since it was brand new, it must be clean etc. It wasn't filthy or anything in appearance...however we found an assortment of bugs in our 2nd floor room, including one that was alive (unsure what is was, except that it was an inch long- NOT a roach though)actually between the white sheets! Not to my liking.... so I won't ever be staying there again. When I told the manager about this , he said sorry, but never offered to "comp" even a part of the bill. I would at least of guessed he would do that if he cared. There were ants in the bathroom and at the front door as well. If they look after that problem, and do some painting and pap a lttle more attention to some upkeep in painting etc, it would actually be a decent hotel and a great deal. The rooms are a decent size, and there are a microwave and fridge in each one which is a big asset. I am Houston resident who has stayed on Galveston Island many times before, and am familiar with quite a few hotels out there."

We also have a Luby's restaurant in the same parking lot where you can cure your hungry appetite. Recreation includes sightseeing around beautiful Galveston, golfing, shopping on Seawall Boulevard, swimming, fishing and boating on the Gulf, and bird-watching. Area attractions include Carnival Cruise Lines, Historic Downtown, Texas City (eight miles), and lots of fabulous seafood restaurants.
